Whole Foods is Coming to Town

Well, well, well! Look what's finally coming to Jersey City... Whole Foods!

The company announced in its 2016 Q2 Earnings that it signed nine new leases and one of them will be in Jersey City!

The organic/natural supermarket chain is going to break ground at Metropolis Towers at the intersection of Columbus Drive and Marin Boulevard. You know the spot right near the Grove Street PATH Station.

JC Residents will have to wait until 2020 to get their 365 products.

The new addition will come with 200 new employees and on-site parking, according to Michael Sinatra, Whole Foods' spokesman.

I'm relieved that I no longer have to take the Paulus Hook Ferry to Lower Manhattan to get my Whole Foods fix.

However, it will be interesting to see how this on-site parking will turn out.

And I must admit, I was a bit sour about Newark, N.J. getting Whole Foods before Jersey City. I sure hope we get a Trader Joes before them!
